Part of an extensive collection of antique and vintage dog figurines, this diminutive ashtray is quite old – probably made in the 30’s or possibly the 40’s. It features a dog figurine perched on one end, with jaded expression and legs crossed, in a rather human way. He’s flanked by lines of holes for cigarettes or matches, and faces an indentation on which to balance a lone cigarette.
Perhaps not the most practical ashtray for a party, but perfect for the individual – and certainly a conversation piece! 2 3/4″ tall x 2 3/8″ long x 2 1/4″ wide, in good condition with no chips or cracks – however, there is some minor discoloration and bumpy texture in the bowl of the ashtray. Stamped Made In Japan in red.
